Today we experienced a little earthquake, the first one since we moved here. It occured around 20min to 5 in the morning and we probably wouldn't have noticed it had the phone not rung 5 minutes prior to that (...some random call which we ignored but which woke us up).
The tremor didn't feel like much, the bed shook for a second or two very mildly and the glass panes in our hallway door rattled a bit. To be honest, the dumper lorries which go past our house to the construction sites one block away often cause more vibration than that.
Turned out it was a magnitude 5.4 (or 5.6 depending on which source to trust) with its epicentrum about 180km south of Santiago. I don't think it caused any damage or casualties (or at least the news didn't report any).
